This wasn't the best Christmas for Kevin and Meegan Holubar of Richfield, Minn.
The former Duluth residents were here last week when Kevin lost their year-old bulldog, Ham, while out for a bathroom break on Christmas Eve. Ham was on a leash but broke free. Kevin might have been able to call the dog back, but in the commotion of chasing him in the dark in a blizzard, Kevin was hit by a car on Jean Duluth Road.
The car ended up in the ditch and Kevin ended up with a bruised leg and twisted ankle, said his aunt, Mary Hautajarvi of Duluth. But he kept looking for Ham until 2:30 in the morning, when a friend dragged him to the hospital to check for broken bones.
Ham is special to Kevin and Meegan. They got him as a puppy last year, and this summer he was the ring bearer in their wedding in a little bulldog tuxedo.
They resumed the search on Christmas Day, but still no dog. They'd like your help getting their Ham back.
