The public is invited to come out Sunday and help clean up Duluth area waterfronts as part of the 13th annual Minnesota Beach Sweep sponsored by the Great Lakes Aquarium.
The event, one of hundreds in 123 countries around the world, runs from 2-4 p.m. at three locations in Duluth: Lester Park, Chester Park and the Boy Scout Landing access of the St. Louis River. Just show up with appropriate clothing and a willingness to help!
If you can't make it but would like to organize a group cleanup for a different date, that's great, too. For more information contact Margret Scott, Minnesota Beach Sweep coordinator, at (218) 740-3473, ext. 1025, or mscott@glaquarium.org .
