Taryn Hanson and Phil Hillila, both of Duluth, plan to be married July 28 at the Barker's Island Festival Pavilion in Superior.
Her parents are Jerry and Barb Hanson of New London, Minn. His parents are Jerry and Diane Hillila of Iron River.
The future bride, a 1998 graduate of New London-Spicer High School in New London, graduated from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Superior in 2001 with a barber/cosmetology vocational certificate. She is a cosmetologist at LaPeinado Hair and Skin Care in Superior.
The future groom, a 1993 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from Lake Superior College in Duluth with an associate degree in commercial and residential wiring. He is a network technician for Qwest Communications in Duluth.
