The National Weather Service in Duluth received the following reports of hail and wind damage from storms that swept across Koochiching and Itasca counties on Saturday:
* 7:50 p.m. - 12-inch diameter trees reported down across Itasca County Highway 48 about 16 miles north of Grand Rapids; power outages in the area.
* 7:45 p.m. - An 18- to 20-inch diameter basswood tree reported blown down near Deer River in Itasca County.
* 7:20 p.m. - 20-inch diameter trees reported down across Minnesota Highway 38 at Marcell in central Itasca County; hail still visible on the ground.
* 7:10 p.m. - nickel-size hail reported at Marcell.

* 12:53 p.m. - 1-inch diameter hail at Loman in northern Koochiching County.
