Gulbrandson named campus safety director

Gary Gulbrandson, a law enforcement veteran with more than 30 years of experience with the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, is the new campus safety director for the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Gulbrandson replaces Mike Wallin, who is retiring. Today is his last day on campus. Gulbrandson retired from the sheriff's department May 1 as operations lieutenant. He graduated from UWS in 1976 with a major in political science and a concentration in criminal justice. He is a certified law enforcement officer in Wisconsin, and a member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers Association and the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators.
