The Duluth School District has named an interim assistant superintendent.
Bill Gronseth will replace Joe Hill for the 2010-11 school year.
Hill left to become superintendent of the Sartell-St. Stephen school district in central Minnesota.
Gronseth was most recently principal of Homecroft Elementary School, and has been an assistant principal at East High School. He has been with the district since 1997.
Superintendent Keith Dixon said Gronseth has experience with student achievement efforts and has been able to adapt to the role quickly.
