A Grand Rapids man was placed on five years of supervised probation Monday in Itasca County District Court for his role in a fatal Aug. 6 rollover.
Kyle Robert Fuller, 19, of Grand Rapids could be sentenced to serve time in prison if he fails to follow the conditions of probation. Fuller pleaded guilty on Dec. 9 to a felony count of aiding and abetting furnishing alcohol to a minor. He is the third defendant sentenced in the case.
Four people were charged in connection with the accident, which killed Christy Lynn Laney, 18, of Grand Rapids. Laney was a passenger in a car driven by Anthony Silvio Fini, who rolled the car while driving at a high speed.
Fini, 19, of Grand Rapids pleaded guilty on Dec. 15 to two felony counts -- one of criminal vehicular homicide and one of criminal vehicular operation. On Wednesday, he was sentenced to one year in jail and placed on 10 years' probation for vehicular homicide and four years probation for criminal vehicular operation. If he violates the conditions of the vehicular homicide probation, he could go to prison for 6½ years. If he violates the conditions of the criminal vehicular operation probation, he could go to prison for 19 months.
Jena Marie Doyle, 20, of Cohasset pleaded guilty on Dec. 29 to two gross misdemeanor counts of aiding and abetting furnishing alcohol to a minor. She was sentenced to serve two

12-month sentences running consecutively, but her sentence was stayed for four years of supervised probation.
Justin Lee Leppanen, 22, of Swan River pleaded guilty on Dec. 22 to a felony count of aiding and abetting furnishing alcohol to a minor. Sentencing is scheduled for today.
