A 29-year-old Grand Rapids man has been charged in Hubbard County District Court in connection with a one-car rollover accident early Saturday that killed a Floodwood woman.
Jesse Dahl, 29, of Grand Rapids was charged Tuesday with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, second-degree driving while intoxicated and driving after his license was revoked, Sheriff Frank Homer told the News Tribune.
Dahl was found after the accident at a nearby residence where he had been taken by a passerby. He was taken to North Country Regional Hospital with minor injuries and then transferred to jail.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Hubbard County Sheriff's Office and State Patrol. But Homer said authorities believe Dahl was driving the 1998 Volkswagen Passat.
A 28-year-old Floodwood woman died from injuries suffered in the crash reported about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Brooke Rosemore was found dead in the car that had been traveling south on Hubbard County Road 3, about two miles south of County Road 9, in Lake Hattie Township near Bemidji.
