Candidates running in a pair of Minnesota state Senate districts that cover Duluth, Rice Lake, Hermantown, Proctor and more will take turns answering questions asked by Duluth Area Chamber President David Ross and News Tribune Editorial Page Editor Chuck Frederick at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
In District 7, Republican Donna Bergstrom and DFLer Jen McEwen are vying to replace DFL Sen. Erik Simonson, who lost in the August primary. District 7 covers most of Duluth.
In District 3, DFL Sen. Tom Bakk of Cook is being challenged by Republican Christopher Hogan of Two Harbors. District 3 extends from Solway Township northwest of Proctor, up the North Shore, and along the Canadian border to the Koochiching County border with Lake of the Woods County.
