Just one individual will be selected by the City Council to take the place of Barb Russ who recently resigned from her at large seat due to health concerns related to a cancer diagnosis. She had been elected to the office for a second term.
The other would-be appointees are Ashlie Castaldo, Chris Adatte, Mark Hakes, Robert J. Stenberg, Jennifer Vossen Julsrud, Zak Radzak, David W. Montgomery, Julie Zaruba Fountaine, Heather Ann Muster, Dave Zbaracki, Terese Tomanek, Flip Arkulary, Nina C. Woerheide, Judy Breuer and Hamilton Smith.
The City Clerk's Office accepted applications up until 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The City Council is expected to interview applicants Thursday, June 4, and winnow the field to three finalists. Those three finalists will undergo a second round of interviews, with the council expected to make its pick Monday, June 8.
The appointee will serve the remainder of Russ' term, which ends in 2022.
