The Association of Minnesota Counties has elected Lake County Board of Commissioners Chairman Rich Sve to serve as AMC president in 2020.
Sve is the first Lake County commissioner to hold this position. As president of AMC, Sve will preside over board meetings, be the primary spokesperson for the association and represent AMC at both state and nationwide meetings. Sve will work with the AMC Board of Directors, which includes county commissioners from all corners of the state.
Sve, whose term on the Lake County Board expires Jan. 4, 2021, represents District 5.
AMC is a voluntary statewide organization that assists the state’s 87 counties in providing effective county governance.
