A portion of Duluth's Western Waterfront Trail and its Pulaski Street trailhead have been closed temporarily, the city announced.
The closing, which took place on Monday, is necessary to provide a place for equipment staging and access for a wetland restoration project at Kingsbury Bay, a news release from the city explained.
The wetland project is being conducted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with the Duluth Parks and Recreation Division. Access to the trail remains available from parking lots on Grand Avenue, Riverside Drive and Spring Street.
The project is scheduled to be completed in December 2020.
