A meeting about parking, traffic and other challenges of major events in the Bayfront, Canal Park and Duluth Entertainment Convention Center area will take place on Wednesday.
Some of the recommendations could be implemented as soon as this summer, said Ron Chicka, director of the Metropolitan Interstate Council, in a news release. The agency has been leading the effort with Alliant Engineering Inc.
But the planning also addresses long-term infrastructure needs along the adjacent Interstate 35 corridor that might be implemented over the next 10-20 years.
The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the French River Room at the DECC. A presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
