Quick draw competitors are headed to Superior this weekend for "Yor a Daisy if Ya do" Spring Jackpot Shoot.

The fast-draw event is hosted by the Twin Ports' Black River Bandits Club. It starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and runs through Sunday in the 4H Building at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds at 4700 Tower Ave. Spectator admission is free.

Shooters compete with six-guns and holsters that are faithful reproductions of those used in the 1800s. Live ammunition is not allowed; it’s wax bullets or pellets only. Shooting is based on speed and accuracy, from holster to target.

Expect era-accurate costumes, Western aliases and shooters of all ages with divisions for men, women and 16 and younger.

Saturday's event is followed by a social gathering at 5:30 p.m. at Ace's on 29th restaurant, 2827 Oakes Ave. in Superior. The second jackpot shoot begins at 9 a.m. Sunday. Water and pop will be available for purchase.
