Gerald A. Camelon, 65, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008.

Jerry worked as a mechanic for Hemmeling Union 76, and as shop foreman for Verne D. Johnson Oldsmobile, then 34 years in street maintenance with the city of Duluth working his way up to supervisor.

He lived with multiple sclerosis for more than 30 years, and was a member of the M.S. Society and had many friends there.

M.S. gradually forced him to give up the things he enjoyed; mainly the outdoors and woodworking. Nothing kept him down for long: he triumphed over the disease and lived a good and fulfilling life.

Jerry was a good and gentle man, wonderful husband, loving father and a fair man to work with and for. He was also a loyal friend. Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him. "Don't cry for me, just remember me with joy." -- Jerry
