A garage and two small outbuildings were destroyed in a fire Sunday near Buhl.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, crews responded to a structure fire at 3:03 p.m. at 5006 County Highway 25 in Great Scott Township. The Sheriff's Office said the homeowner was attempting to burn a leaf pile when it got away from them and started the garage on fire. The first also burned two additional small outbuildings before it was extinguished.
Northland FireWire reported that dozens of vehicles were destroyed in the blaze and one person was treated for possible smoke inhalation. The Sheriff's Office did not have an estimate of damages as of Monday.
Other responding agencies included the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota State Patrol as well as Buhl, Cherry, Fayal and Kinney-Great Scott fire departments.
