The Minnesota Army National Guard will be hosting its second annual Frozen 5k Race on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The run will start on Airpark Boulevard at the Minnesota Army National Guard Armory at 10 a.m.

The runners will head west to Haines Road, north to Airport Road, east to Rice Lake Road, south to Airpark Boulevard, where they will return to the armory.

At 9:45 a.m. officers will begin detouring traffic in the race area. The eastbound traffic lane of Airport Road will be closed. Eastbound traffic wanting to connect to Rice Lake Road from Haines Road will be required to use either Arrowhead Road or Krueger Road.

The airport may be accessed by either Haines Road or from the westbound lane of Airport Road.

Expect delays when trying to access businesses in the Airpark industrial area during the time of the race.

Watch for officers directing traffic and slow down for runners along the course. Roadways should reopen to normal traffic flow around noon.
