Northwesterly winds have ushered in some much colder air that is now interacting with the warmer waters of Lake Superior. The National Weather Service still has a lake-effect snow advisory until this afternoon for Bayfield and Ashland counties. There is a lake-effect snow warning for Iron and Gogebic counties until early Saturday morning. Over a foot is possible in the higher terrain of Iron and Gogebic counties. Please allow extra time for travel.
