FOX 21 WEATHER UPDATE for Sept. 2: Scattered storms; HI: 73, falling; LO: 49
Good morning, here's your weather discussion for Tuesday, Sept. 2:
I hope you enjoyed the summery weather over the long holiday weekend because starting today, it'll be gone for a while. Temperatures rose into the 80s and even a few low 90s for a couple of spots over the past couple of days out ahead of a very potent cool front that will plow through today bringing with it scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a chance that some of these storms could be a little on the strong to severe side a little later this afternoon across Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. The biggest threat with these storms would be some hail and gusty winds. As soon as the front passes, you'll know. The winds will switch dramatically out of the west and northwest and immediately draw in some drier and much cooler air. Our daytime high temperatures will drop a good 10 to almost 25 degrees in spots by Wednesday. I think there will be a few places that have a hard time getting out of the 50s later this week. Even though it'll be cool, the sunshine will return Wednesday and Thursday. Our next best chance of rain slides on by the weekend.
Here's your forecast:
Today: Mostly cloudy and windy with scattered storms; some could be strong; Winds: SW turning NW 10-20 G30; HI: 73 and falling; Tonight; Storms ending early, becoming partly cloudy and much cooler; LO: 49

Wednesday: Partly to mostly sunny and much cooler; HI: 66; LO: 44
