Good morning, here's your wx discussion for Friday, June 13:
So far, the Duluth Airport has picked a little more than 4 inches of
rain through the first 12 days of the month! It certainly has been wet
and stormy for us, but if we can only hold on just a bit longer, I think
many will be happy with the weather changes ahead. It appears that the

upper level flow pattern will be buckling northward by the middle and
end of next week. This will divert the wetter weather northward and
allow an extended period of more sunshine and milder temperatures to
filter in. Of course, that would be great timing considering Grandma's
Marathon is only about one week away. I remember a similar weather
pattern like this three year ago, back in June of 2005! Some may recall
a rainy first half of June 2005, where the first 15 days of month
featured 3.19 inches of rain, then there was a major weather pattern

shift. The next four days, which ran through the Grandma's Marathon
weekend, were dry and sunny with high temperatures in the low to mid
70s! Maybe it'll be the same this year... Wouldn't that be nice?
