Four people were injured in a multi-car crash Thursday afternoon on Highway 53 by Mineview in the Sky in Virginia, Minnesota State Patrol officials said.
A 1994 Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Highway 53 when it struck a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck head-on just before 5 p.m. The Chevrolet spun and subsequently was hit by a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck. A 1999 Pontiac Grand Am was then clipped by the Ford.
One person was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center. Two others were taken by ambulance to St. Mary's, and one person was transported to Virginia Regional Medical Center.
