Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank is preparing for its 20th annual Empty Bowl event.
Artists, students and community members have been busy making bowls, which attendees can purchase at the event, with proceeds going to fund the food bank.
This year's event runs from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. The cost is $20 for a handmade bowl and soup, with a $5 discount applied after 4 p.m. Volunteers are still needed, and anyone interested should contact volunteer coordinator Sarah Bourcy at (218)727-5653, ext. 110, or sarah@northernlakesfoodbank.org .
