Summertime Blues at Ironworld presents a strong lineup this Saturday. Range native and great bluesman Paul Metsa plays with Sonny Earl, Chicago hard blues guitar Joanna Connor, the Lamont Cranston Band and headliner Phil Guy and the Chicago Machine. They'll all rock out the Ironworld Amphitheater. Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets are $10 ($5 Ironworld members). Ironworld is at 801 S. IT'S FREE / POETRY AT CARMODY'S

Duluth wit Louis Jenkins, a prose poet and an excellent performer, and Freya Manfred, a sharp-eyed lyricist, read their poetry at Carmody Irish Pub on Friday. It's free and runs from7-9:30 p.m.

FAMILY FUN / FOLK MUSIC BY THE ISLES'

Bill and Katie Isles, a folk singing couple of great charm, will be performing at Chester Bowl on Tuesday as part of the free concert series there. Bring the kids. They'll get an introduction to history of all kinds -- social history, with Bill's song about his uncle's stories of sheltering hoboes in the roundhouse; personal history, with their sweet tune "Matching Baggage." Music starts at 7 p.m.
