Floodwood woman dies in Hubbard County crash

A Floodwood woman died in a single-vehicle rollover reported early Saturday morning in northern Hubbard County, while a Grand Rapids man also in the car was booked into the Hubbard County Jail pending charges.

A Floodwood woman died in a single-vehicle rollover reported early Saturday morning in northern Hubbard County, while a Grand Rapids man also in the car was booked into the Hubbard County Jail pending charges.

According to the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office, Brooke Rosemore, 28, was found dead in a 1998 Volkswagon Passat that had been traveling south on Hubbard County Road 3, about two miles south of County Road 9, in Lake Hattie Township.

Rosemore, who had been wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man from Grand Rapids, was found at a nearby residence. He was taken to North Country Regional Hospital with minor injuries. After being released from the hospital, he was taken to the county jail, the Park Rapids Enterprise reported.

Authorities did not say who was driving the vehicle.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
