A garage and its contents were deemed a total loss after a fire in the Goat Hill area of Duluth on Saturday.

Duluth Fire Department crews were called to the scene at 8:20 p.m. on the 2200 block of West 10th Street, where they found a detached 24-by-28-foot one-car garage engulfed in flames, according to a news release from the fire department.

No one was in the garage at the time, but a vehicle inside could not be removed due to the extent of the fire. Damage to the garage and contents is estimated at $50,000.

Crews from Duluth Heights, Headquarters, Lincoln Park and Spirit Valley responded to the scene. The Duluth Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
