Several agencies responded to a grass fire Saturday afternoon in Sandy Township just north of Virginia, according to a news release from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies evacuated part of Hill Road and Haavisto Road due to dangerous fire conditions.
About 25 acres have burned, but no structures have been damaged, according to the sheriff's office.
"(F)ire crews have made gains in fighting the fire and there is no longer a need to evacuate," the release said.
The report was made shortly after noon and as of 4:30 p.m. Saturday fire crews were still continuing to fight the fire.
