Body found in house fire identified as 57-year-old Menahga man
MENAHGA, Minn. — The person found dead in a house fire here on Wednesday, Feb. 13, has been identified as James Conklin, 57, of Menahga, according to the Wadena County Sheriff's Office.
The fire was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Second Street Southeast in Menahga, the sheriff's office said.
When first responders arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, and it took nearly three hours to extinguish.
Conklin's body was then found inside. Authorities say he was the owner of the house.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
