A fire on Wednesday caused significant damage to a trailer neighbors said had been abandoned for years.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported they were notified of a structure fire at 4069 Jeffrey Road shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies found “a derelict trailer house” fully engulfed in flames when they arrived, according to the county. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No people or animals were inside the trailer at the time of the fire and no injuries occurred. Neighbors told the deputies that the trailer only had three walls standing before the fire and had been abandoned for nearly 10 years, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
