Fire destroys home in Brevator Township

A single-family home in Brevator Township was destroyed by fire early Wednesday.
Fire crews responded to the fire, on the 4600 block of Vibert Road, at about 1 a.m. There were no injuries, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The fire is under investigation but it is not believed to have been suspicious. A damage estimate was not immediately available, but authorities said the home appeared to be a complete loss.
The Brevator Volunteer Fire Department, as well as volunteer departments from the townships of Industrial, Solway, Culver, Arrowhead, Grand Lake and Canosia, responded to the scene.
