Fire departments in Littlefork and Greaney Rauch Silverdale are receiving federal equipment and training grants.
Littlefork's Fire Department will receive an $88,000 Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant and the Greaney Rauch Silverdale Volunteer Fire Department $5,700, according to Congressmen Jim Oberstar.
Littlefork Fire Chief Bruce Grotberg said the funds will buy protective clothing for firefighters, self contained breathing apparatus, and an air compressor and refill unit station.
