A fire tore through a garage in Duluth Township on Saturday afternoon.

St. Louis County deputies along with Clifton, Normanna, Two Harbors and Gnesen fire departments responded to a report of a garage on fire at 6999 Culbertson Rd. in Duluth Township around 1:38 p.m. When deputies and fire personnel arrived on the scene, they found one of two garages fully engulfed.

The fire was quickly contained to the one garage and extinguished. There were no injuries and no one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage is estimated to be $55,000.
