A fire caused more than $150,000 in damage on Sunday morning to a Duluth building that had been struck by lightning and damaged just two weeks earlier.
Duluth firefighters were called to the three-story structure at 1434 E. Superior St. shortly after 11 a.m. and found smoke visible at the roof edge, where the fire appeared to be spreading into an attic.
Firefighters established vertical ventilation through the roof and began to attack the blaze.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury on the scene but did not require immediate treatment. In all, 29 firefighters responded to the call.
Four apartment units in the building were unoccupied at the time of the fire, due in part to the earlier lightning strike.
The building also is home to a business called Architecture Advantage, but it appeared that no one was in the building when the fire began.
The fire will be investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal's Office, according to an incident report.
