Two additional sets of vendors for the city's replacement warning siren service will hold citywide tests over the next ten days.
ATI will test sirens at various locations around the city on Thursday, June 19. American Signal will test all day on Monday, June 23. Bids for the project will be opened on Thursday, June 26.
As was the case during tests earlier this spring, test sirens will sound at selected locations around the city to determine sound coverage and appropriate volume levels to provide appropriate emergency warning.
Citizens are asked not to take undue alarm at these test soundings. In the event of an actual emergency, emergency authorities will issue appropriate instructions per standard procedure.
