Incumbent Russ Stewart has filed to run for another term in the Third District and will face challenger Eldon "Donny" Krosch Jr.
In the Fifth District incumbent Russell Stover is still the only candidate.
The two at-large seats up for election have attracted six candidates so far. Incumbent Donny Ness has been joined in the race by Timothy A. Bearheart, Mike Flaherty, Brian Homstad, Garry Krause and Tim Little. Long-time incumbent Ken Hogg is not seeking another term.
Filing has been lighter at the Duluth school district. Four school board seats are up for election, one at-large seat and seats representing districts one, two and three. District 1 is a two-year term, due to a mid-term replacement. No one has filed for District 1 and the at-large seats.
District 2 incumbent Harry Welty has filed for reelection. Barb Sederski and former school board member Tim Grover have filed for District 3, the seat being vacated by Krause.
There are no St. Louis County positions up for election this year.
