About the program: The 12-month residential drug and alcohol recovery program can accommodate 44 men. About 30 percent of Duluth participants primarily have had methamphetamine addictions, about 30 percent primarily have had alcohol addictions and the rest used a variety of other drugs. In its first year, the program has worked with men from the Iron Range, the Duluth area, Carlton County and the Brainerd area. The program is paid for mostly through donations, but also receives room and board subsidies from the government for men who can't afford to pay.
