The 2014 Sigurd Olson lecture “Yellowstone: More valuable than gold” will be from noon to 1 p.m. April 10 in the Kathryn A. Martin Library fourth floor rotunda.
Mike Clark, who recently retired as executive director of the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, will present his talk, which will focus on the organizational efforts of the coalition to halt mining on lands adjacent to the national park.
The lecture series is named for Sigurd Olson, an American conservationist who wrote nine books and died in 1982. The lecture series highlights current natural resource topics and leaders in the conservation community.
The event is free and open to the public.
