On Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., UMD’s Center for Ethics and Public Policy is sponsoring a public lecture by the Rev. Nancy E. Maeker on poverty in Minnesota and efforts to eradicate it. The event will take place in Room 118 at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business & Economics.
Maeker’s work as executive director at A Minnesota Without Poverty, a statewide movement to end poverty in Minnesota by 2020, focused on building public and political will to end poverty.
