The deadline for ordering native trees and shrubs from the South St. Louis County Soil and Water Conservation District is fast approaching.
People have until April 12 to order the bare-root seedlings, which come in bundles of 10 or 25 meant for conservation plantings. Plants will be available for pickup in mid-May in Proctor, Two Harbors and Grand Marais.
For information about the species available, cost, planting guides and more go to southstlouisswcd.org or called the South St. Louis SWCD office at (218) 723-4867.
