The band that formed in 1983 rocked its way to gigs at Mr. Pete's, the Brass Phoenix and the Tap Room, and rolled its way through 16 years of playing the SMDC New Year's Eve party at the DECC. They took a decade off and the band of Mark Schmidt, Tammy Schmidt, Cory Clay and Dan Vaught got back in the biz about two years ago.

The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair.

Pedestrian bridge still stuck

OK, this might indicate progress.

Saturday we told you the city was bringing in an expert to diagnose the ongoing problems with the pedestrian lift bridge in Canal Park.

Monday the city said the bridge would be stuck in the up position one more day as crews complete repairs.

Let's hope these repairs stick.
