Dr. Duke Pesta, academic director of FreedomProject Education, will discuss national education standards during “The Case Against Common Core” at 2 p.m. Saturday at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior St.
Pesta is a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and is expected to cover why there’s concern about the Common Core math and reading standards.
The discussion is hosted by Northlanders Against Common Core. A freewill offering will be taken.
