A traveling tree will be the featured attraction at Duluthās Bayfront Festival Park today.
An 88-foot white spruce, removed last week from the Chippewa National Forest, is en route to Washington, D.C., where it will be this yearās U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.
The tree will make 30 stops for community celebrations along the way. The free event in Duluth will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and include childrenās games and activities, the opportunity to create keepsake ornaments, an ice-
fishing igloo, marshmallow roasting and hot chocolate, according to information from Visit Duluth.
Visitors also can exchange two canned goods or a new unwrapped toy for a ticket good for an āinside tourā of the 128-foot-tall Bentleyville tree. The donations will launch this yearās Salvation Army
