The Twin Ports Ministry to Seafarers is hosting the annual Blessing of the Port on Thursday at the Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center, 600 S. Lake Ave.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with the brief service beginning at 5.
The service will include a forecast for the 2014 shipping season, a blessing of all who are involved in the Twin Ports, a musical tribute to mariners and refreshments to follow.
The service is open to the public.
