Citing concerns about COVID-19, the president of the College of St. Scholastica said Monday she was canceling or suspending all college-related travel for students, staff and faculty.

The cancellation doesn't affect domestic travel, Barbara McDonald said in an announcement to the St. Scholastica community. The college is monitoring college-related travel of employees and students who are already abroad, she said. Those returning from "Level 3" countries will be asked to self-quarantine off campus for 14 days.

Currently, China, South Korea, Italy and Iran are listed as Travel 3 countries by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Also this week, the college will work with selected staff to prepare for remote teaching and learning options if that should become necessary, McDonald said.
