A Marshall School senior is hosting a roundtable discussion Wednesday to give Duluth area students a platform to discuss questions and topics that pertain to the overall well being of students.
Senior Ajanice Knox will host the roundtable events at the Duluth Public Library’s Green Room at the downtown location at 4:45 p.m. The student panel will be composed of about 12 students from Denfeld High School, East High School and Marshall School.
“I never felt as though I had a right to stand up for my own educational needs until I gave myself a platform through the various leadership roles I had taken on in my community,” Knox said. “Students deserve to have a platform to express how their mental, social, and physical health has been affected throughout high school, and demand a change for better accommodations for future generations.”
The student panelists will meet with school administrators, school board members and elected officials such as State Rep. Liz Olsen, DFL-Duluth, and Mayor Emily Larson.
