Department of Public Safety Commissioner Michael Campion has appointed Dr. Philip Eckman of Duluth to another term on the Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Board.
Eckman has served on the board since 1998. A surgeon, he served as president and CEO of the Duluth Clinic from 1982 to 1995.
Campion also appointed Washington County victim/witness coordinator Mary Waldkirch and Minnesapolis Police Department officer Kimberly Lund to the board and designated Anoka County assistant county attorney Robert Goodell as the board's chairman.
The Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Board provides compensation to victims of violent crime and their families. The board was established in 1974.
