Work will begin on phase two of a permanent anode dig on East Superior Street starting Tuesday.
Crews will repair the road surface where anodes were installed three years ago on East Superior Street between 40th and 44th avenues east. According to a city of Duluth news release, the work will include external coating and cathodic protection of anodes wrapped around piping which will prevent external corrosion.
Traffic will still be allowed during construction, however parking will not be allowed on East Superior Street during this time. Construction is expected to be complete by Aug. 3.
