East, Greenway lead listings for CCM All-Star hockey series

The rosters have been announced for the fourth annual CCM high school all-star hockey series, featuring the Iron Range area against Duluth-area players, and to nobody's surprise, the teams are dominated by Duluth East and Greenway of Coleraine.

The rosters have been announced for the fourth annual CCM high school all-star hockey series, featuring the Iron Range area against Duluth-area players, and to nobody's surprise, the teams are dominated by Duluth East and Greenway of Coleraine.
Nick Licari, Tommy Kolar, Nick Nelson and Bryan Olds give East four forwards, while defensemen Mike Stellmaker and Seth Amadio boost the total to six Greyhounds on the 20-man Duluth roster that for the first time includes underclassmen.
The Iron Range roster is led by forwards Gino Guyer and Andy Sertich of Greenway, while defensemen Andrew Guyer and Jim Gibeau, and goaltender Tom Sobtzak give the Raiders a total of five participants.
The Duluth team consists of goaltenders Josh Johnson of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton and Nate Buck of Hermantown; defensemen Matt Maunu and Brandon Sell of Cloquet, Nate Timm of Silver Bay, Dave Moline of Marshall, along with Stellmaker and Amadio; and forwards, along with Licari, Kolar, Nelson and Olds, are B.J. Radovich and Brent Palmer of Hermantown, Derek Menz of Denfeld, Ales Toth of Silver Bay, and Mike Erickson of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.
The Iron Range team has Sobtzak and Jesse Lind of Eveleth in goal; Andrew Guyer, Gibeau, plus Steve Wagner of Grand Rapids, Josh Meyers of International Falls, Matt Hill of Virginia-Mountain Iron-Buhl, and Brad Kern of Hibbing on defense; and Gino Guyer, Sertich plus Tom Biondich and Ben Gordon of International Falls, Jesse Vesel and Shane Holman of Hibbing, Matt Miskovich and Brian Wickstrom of Grand Rapids, and Bobby Fink of Ely at forward.
The teams will square off on Tuesday at the DECC, and play a rematch on Wednesday at Coleraine. Both games will be at 7 p.m., following skills contests at 6 p.m. both nights. Mark DeCenzo of Hibbing will return as Iron Range coach, while Brendan Flaherty of Marshall will coach the Duluth stars. Coaches are rotated, with the winning coach continuing and the losing side moving an assistant up to the head spot.
