A garage housing several vehicles was destroyed by fire early Wednesday in Superior.
A neighbor reported the fire on the 4100 block of Itasca Street shortly after 4:30 a.m., the Superior Fire Department said. Crews responded to find the garage fully engulfed. Firefighters worked to protect the adjacent house and two neighboring garages - all three of which showed signs of heat damage, the fire department said in a news release.
Fire crews used 10,000 gallons of water to extinguish the cars and cool all hot spots. An electrical crew was called to cut power lines that were involved in the fire. Crews cleared the scene by 6:30 a.m.
No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $70,000, the fire department said.
