Fire destroyed a residence near Embarrass early Thanksgiving morning, authorities said. Everyone inside was able to escape.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported that the Embarrass Volunteer Fire Department responded to the mobile home at 4410 County Highway 21 at about 1:15 a.m. Firefighters found the home fully engulfed on arrival, with all the occupants outside.
Officials determined that a wood stove in the home's porch was the cause of the fire. The mobile home was a total loss.
The Tower and Babbitt fire departments also responded to the scene.
