An arrest warrant was issued for a woman accused of grabbing money out of open tills at two Superior stores last week.
Arlanda Mae Hancock, 30, of Duluth faces one count felony robbery with use of force, one misdemeanor count of theft and two counts of misdemeanor bail-jumping stemming from two robberies in Superior the morning of June 26. The warrant and criminal complaint were filed Thursday with the Douglas County Clerk of Courts.
According to the criminal complaint:
About 3:27 a.m. June 26, a white female came up to the Walgreens register with a bag of M&Ms and paid with $2. When the cashier opened the till, the woman reached across, grabbed about $30 in cash and attempted to flee. The cashier grabbed the woman's arm, but she twisted and pushed the cashier's arm aside to break free and fled the store.
About five minutes later, Hammond Spur staff reported a similar robbery. A woman brought a Monster energy drink to the counter. When the cashier opened the till, she reached over the counter, and grabbed about $60 in change out of the till and ran away. The suspect dropped several items on the ground when she fled, including a cell phone.

Based on text messages and pictures on the phone, Superior police said they were able to identify the owner as Hancock. Cashiers at Walgreens and Hammond Spur identified her as the person who robbed them from photo lineups, police said.
